Re: DAC to the Future
After six years of good service my Qutest had a problem. It has now been fixed by Chord and is as good as new. When a system suddenly stops working the issue is identifying the component responsible. In this case I got it wrong, adding to they timescale. I suspected the Mscaler and when I removed it...

https://www.amazon.com/sephia-SP3060-Earbuds-Lightweight-Tangle-Free/dp/B0170RBJ9Q I bought these last year for around £20, seems like the price has gone down since. For the price they are excellent and sound better than ear buds I bought costing morey 10-15 years ago. Use them streaming offline Qo...

Re: Streaming and payments to artists
I find that all things being equal CDs ripped to WAV sound better than the Qobuz stream, but the main factor is the standard of mastering. Qobuz streams of Steve Wilson remasters sound better than my ripped CDs. I do not buy or download new releases I like because of the levels of compression. A DR ...

Re: New Adventures in Chi-Fi
I do not like blue tooth and use a flash drive with an adaptor in the car. My Bose blue tooth speaker which I use in the smal room with the computer is long in the tooth now and I am looking at a better sounding WiFi alterative. The Sonus era 100 paired seems to be good at the price. It would be sta...
