Re: Effects pedals stuff, might interest guitarists.
I have been pleasantly surprised by the sound of Caline pedals - especially the Blue Sky overdrive and Snake Bite reverb. Low cost , excellent sound and great value. I've got a "Snakebite," myself. It's a lot of pedal for not a lot of money. I've got a couple of their CP-05 Power supplies...

Also have a Bose Mini Soundlink - very competent device. A few years old now and still going strong. Lots of alternatives about these days

Re: It's all been said before
Hifi forums - or any online forum - will always be a reflection of the subject and the members involved. Mainstream Audiophile hifi for many years has been a combination of bling / pride of ownership; bragging rights; being part of a cult / club and finally sound quality / music. Unfortunately in re...

Re: Cartridge for Pro-Ject Debut II
Goldring E3 at a shade under £100 is a much better cartridge than the Ortofon 2M Red. I fitted one to my nephews Project Debut turntable and it’s a great compliance and sonic match. Highly recommended based on that experience.

Re: Moving Coils
Audio Technica and Ortofon have been making cartridges for a very long time and kept innovating even through the low ebb of vinyl which coincided with the launch of CD. I would look at products from their ranges. I particularly like the AT-33PTG mk2 which I find to be a great all rounder.

Dipped my toe in the world of DAC’s and....
.....it has been a revelation! I started with an Audioquest Dragonfly Red and thought this was good but last year acquired an iFi Zen Dac with power supply and this has really convinced me of the merits of the DAC approach. I recycled an old laptop running Audirvana, an Audioquest jitter bug, QED us...

Re: Opinions on how the Government have handled the coronavirus outbreak
The government ignored calls to introduce a lockdown earlier in the October half term - repeating the mistakes of the first wave - and also had insights into this new strain and yet announced a 5 day relaxation of lockdown rules for Christmas?? Johnson and the government are now putting the blame on...
