Re: The in-laws...

Linn, Naim, Rega - oh bugger!
Hi all, I was beginning to sidetrack the thread about "which forums you post on", so I thought it could be of interest to start one here. I use an LP12 (pre cirkus) with Ittok and DV20X. I bought the LP12 nearly 25 years ago after listening at various dealers to direct drive and belt drive...

Re: THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE.......?
I think that it would have to be the Rollng Stones, Exile on main street.
It's a double album and has kept me happy for forty years, so I think it will continue to do so for some time to come.

Re: Rega EL8 speakers.
Hi,
I think that it was the Ela mk1 which used Royd drivers (full length fluting on the front baffle, no dust cap on the driver). The initial design was said to be a joint effort.

Re: Is there a way of making my speakers better?
Hi, I'm not sure if your Heco speakers are floorstanders but I found that the following helped out my Rega Ela mk1 in the areas you mention: A local stonemason let me have some marble off cuts (slab about 1" thick) for no charge. I drilled holes in the base of the slabs, and used araldite to se...
