Nice list, The Flock - love that album.

Re: HDCD - the hidden music

All I know is that I was missing something from playing the CD's and doing this put the 'sparkle' back into the music.

HDCD - the hidden music

A lot of CD's issued between 1995 - 2005 are HDCD encoded. I always thought that it meant that they should sound better and was somewhat disappointed that they didn't. My remastered editions of King Crimson, Roxy Music & Mike Oldfield sounded a bit dull and lifeless. Of course I didn't realise a...

Re: Flat Earth

Also had a Logic DM101 TT which was a pain to set up, and ran too fast (took me years to realise that though). It was when I used to live in Selby. A friend of mine was a drummer who practiced by playing along to LP's. When we were listening to 'Close to the Edge' he said "Even Bill Bruford ca...

Have five of the CDs from these two sets on vinyl already but £1.80 for each CD is quite compelling so wort...

Re: Your last listen

With Ulrich Schnauss in the lineup TD could be in for a rebirth - I loved his 'A Strangely Isolated Place' CD.
Been playing 'Phaedra' a lot recently.
