Re: Turntable Mats

More listening this weekend. Weekdays are fairly music free (not enough time unfortunately). :x

Re: CUBIX....Any good....?

"Having said all that, the Cubix adds bass extension to what the Cube 1s do, otherwise they are pretty much the same." They have greater scale of image (side firing tweeter), and dynamic range as well. But the law of diminishing returns comes in and VFM goes down as you go up the range. I...

Re: Turntable Mats

This evening. Mats C and D. More difficult this. I think mat D made the music a tad louder and brought it forward a little more than C. But I'm going to have to try that one again. Not sure if I have a preference for either one of them over the other.

Re: Glenn Croft Amplifiers

In my opinion you tend to get used to the sound you are used to. For me, a lot of hi-fi sound like hi-fi and not music that is to say that it sounds like more or less well reproduced music but doesn't sound like live music. I typify this as a 'Radio 2' or a 'cinema' sound - warm. wide ranging and de...

Re: AP70 vs Pre/Power

As near as to to not worry about it. Anyway all NVA amps *sound* the same, but as we all should know sound is meaningless compared with music. Most companies amps sound different depending on model - not NVA, you just get more music as go up the range within the same character (or lack of it as mos...

... is there a way to block a certain person's very unsettling avatar? :shifty: Click on User Control Panel -> Board preferences -> Edit display options -> Display avatars -> No -> Submit This will hide all avatars when you're logged-on, which is the setting I like to use. Now, where's the fun in t...
