Re: NVA Field Agents

The world is full of people who can tell you why something won't work. Some of them would be negative people who can't see a genuine opportunity. Others would be realists who see the opportunities but have enough experience to know that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. I'm probably in the...

Re: 4 way Frankenstein high efficiency speakers

As far as speakers bass is concerned. Size is everything. I'd not necessarily agree with that DQ. Size + proper implementation more like. When I first heard Nick Gorhams open baffle speakers with the Eminence Beta 15 bass driver I was mightily impressed, and that led me onto my own journey with ope...

Re: NVA Blog

Bought one of Nick's mains regenerator / quartz lock power supplies for the Lencos (x2) and Garrard 401. A very obvious improvement. Tidies everything up very nicely, both clearer and more natural. A lot like a stylus upgrade. That was the impression I had when I heard one demonstrated at David Bro...

Re: Eye of newt and toe of frog - a curse on Microsoft ...

Since W95, every time there was a new system I preferred the previous one, for a while. Now I've got used to W10 I certainly would not like to go back. Security these days on old operating systems would be abysmal. These days a Chromebook (or at least the Chrome operating system) would do me for 90%...

Well, I managed it, so it's not that difficult.

All you need is a USB flash drive and be able to read and understand the following article.

I converted an old laptop to the Chrome operating system and it's magic for anything not too complicated. :)

Re: Eye of newt and toe of frog - a curse on Microsoft ...

To anyone who really wants to "upgrade" to W11, I'd say wait and let the dust settle before making any hasty judgements. You Tube is full of videos showing how the so called minimum specifications might not be absolutely essential. Even Microsoft have contradicted themselves on certain iss...

Re: Coronavirus restrictions: are they legal

I read this just now. "The Delta variant is 40% more transmissible, the health secretary says, adding that protection against it is just as good with two doses of a vaccine." So I will be keeping my distance and my mask will be at the ready for the foreseeable future. My partner had a verb...

I cannot see any logical link between a lack of interest in something and whether that determines if one should believe or accept it as being true.
If I said any more it would undoubtedly be classed as Ad Hominem, so my lips are closed. ;)
