Re: Can the world act fast?

We are never going to agree on this so probably best we leave it there. I wish I never started this thread now.. Don’t worry, debate is healthy and it’s a really important topic. However you are probably right about people not going to agree so I shall refrain from posting on this topic again - it’...

Re: Can the world act fast?

The last 3 posts sum up exactly why we are in the situation we are in. AD HOMINEM REMOVED

I guess it’s going to take a generational change but it will probably be too late by then.

Re: Can the world act fast?

It is brainwashing which has gathered momentum in the past two decades. I only respect the opinions of experts who take a balanced view and do not flow with the tide. As has been previously posted it was not so long ago that we were being told another ice age was on its way. I will be leaving my am...

Re: Can the world act fast?

I expect this subject is rather emotive and there are strong views on either side. I am pro emissions reduction for more reasons than just global warming. Also I believe that capitalism and a healthy planet are not compatible. I agree it’s emotive and I certainly don’t wish to get into that area - ...

Very minor influence in the grand scheme of things. Graphs and charts show what they want us to believe. Graphs and charts are output of scientific research to demonstrate the data generated and collated. The quality and shear mass of data generated in this area demonstrates the massive climate cha...

Re: Can the world act fast?

However I do not agree that this climate report can or should be ignored. It is my understanding that an awful lot of climate scientists from all over the world were involved in the production of this report. Are they all deluded or on the payroll (or both) ? Do we have people here on HFS that are ...

Their economic model would have to become different but it could work

Re: Can the world act fast?

Too many selfish white old men in positions of power that don’t really care about the future. It could be possible if we invested in technology and made the right choices - the sun provides more than enough energy several times over. However we live in a world where nationalist populism and right wi...

Re: NVA Passive preamp output voltage

Thanks.

Once I get it up and running (which might be a while yet) I will post some feedback.
