Re: Weekends are for vinyl

Hi Andy
Looking forward to seeing some pics of Savvys 401 when it comes through. Wonder how long before he's after a 301?

Re: Weekends are for vinyl

Had a hankering for a 1970's Japanese DD some years ago and got really lucky with a Pioneer PL600X now fitted with a Denon 103. Unless it fails and can't be repaired, this will be my last TT. How on earth these decks and I'm sure plenty others of a similar ilk were thought of as inferior at the time...

Re: What's been your favourite bit of NVA kit?

I'm with BillyBones and its Cube2's for me. Difficult to describe why but they just sound so right. I introduced NVA bit by bit over a year or two, the Cubes were the last part of the jigsaw and it was only then that it all came together. The amps, cables and speakers clearly compliment each other a...

Denon 103 Re-tip

A thumbs up for www.nadelspezialist.de who fixed up a Denon DL103 for a retip some weeks ago. I was offered a Shibata Stylus @ 150 Euro or retipping with an elliptical Stylus @ 70 Euro + additional Tax and Shipping. I opted for the Elliptical which included a clean up & new Alu-Cantilever. Total...

Re: Doc modding Marantz imperial 7

This is the info the Doc gave me when I modded my 12"'ers a few years back. - 'Bison first plastidip second. You have two choices depending on whether you bought a can of Bison or are relying on tubes. If only tubes then a nice *thick* worm all around junction between dustcap and cone. It will ...

Re: Richard Dunn

Very saddened today to learn of Mr Dunn's passing. My condolences to his family and friends.
I only spoke with him a few times over the phone but found him to be extremely polite and helpful. Via this forum, I will be forever grateful to have made his acquaintance. He will be truly missed.
