Re: Balanced line mains
Hey, no worries Dave. 8-) I would love to get some folk round here to have a listen to the system at the moment - with the BMU in place. Would have also liked to hear what it brought to the party with my old 770ES too, would've made for an interesting combination. Where the 110's concerned, the inse...

Re: Balanced line mains
Well, Dave, I'm really rather enjoying it - sure it doesn't drop diamonds out of its backside but its musical presentation is one I can live with quite happily. I prefer old Exposure - at a push - but this little combo definitely isn't 'sh*t'. Jeez - it even plays piano music quite convincingly, som...

You could of course say the same thing about Naim and a Japanese direct drive turntable.

Re: Audio Note AX2
I had a pair of these many moons ago - lively little things, very easy to drive too and surprisingly 'Roydy' in their presentation once run in (which did take quite a while). I'd put money on them singing like a bird on the end of an AP10. Very nicely put together too.

Got some LS6 here for hooking the A70/80's up when they arrive for photos next week so thought I'd just give it a quick whirl with the Naim...

Re: Talk 3 Speaker Cable.
The old stuff is low capacitance. Quoted at the time as 20pf a metre (IIRC). Newer stuff is reportedly far higher. I've no idea what the cap is on the new Talk 3 (I've searched the www to no avail) but both my Exposure and Naim amps are very happy using it. For NVA amps though - warranty notwithsta...

Re: First LP - first CD.
First CD I bought - Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits..... :o FFS nercia19 best not mention that group :shifty:  The frustrating thing with D-S is that their early stuff (ie the first 2 albums) were excellent. Simply recorded, with really great song-structure, shame they went so commercial so e...
