Re: Jerry's ongoing system blog

If you assume your mains is perfect, I bet you are wrong! Hmm, point taken. No I don't assume my mains is perfect - I would be daft to do so since there's so muc more other stuff inside and outside the house that will affect it. My only real experience is that 10mm cooker cable spurs seemed to soun...

Re: More NVA kit

If you want to hear a TSS and TFS the best thing is to come to me in Epping, as I don't want to move them around unless I have to. To see if there is interest in your bake-off set a date about a month ahead, set a specific theme and advertise it. Now we only have 50 member here so far and we are not...

Re: Jerry's ongoing system blog

Jerry if you ever get the power amp meet up organised either at your place or at Martins, and if you have time or room I can bring my TSS along to put some extra interest in it.

Re: Opting in and out of forums/rooms

Why do you think this is necessary Jason. I am not in favour of any form of censorship, imposed or imposed selectively. I think we are all grown up enough to pick and choose what to read. Other forums have an ignore list so that you can ignore certain other members who you don't like. That for me is...

Re: Cables - Bi-wire?

Hi Richard Just placed an order for a pair of the Mk1 A80s to try. Now, at the moment I'm using a bi-wire set of Anti-cables with my Anatek MB50s which won't suit the NVAs. So, I will need some cables made up so I can run both set-ups off against each other. To make sure I'm comparing like with lik...

Re: AVATAR

Does anyone know how I can change my weird star wars storm trooper avatar and put up something more suitable, and where do I find pictures? Click on "user control Panel" top left. Click on profile tab, and then on the left click on avatar. Put a tick in delete image. Click submit at the b...

Jump in and organise

Generally there are two types of bake-off. Those where you invite members around to listen to your system and bring interesting music, and there are those where you want to compare specific parts of your system with other options. These latter ones can be general or specific, like I have done two tu...

Re: LS7 Speaker Cable

The LS7s have about 40 hours on them now, of mixed low and normal volume listening. Normal volume peaks at about 92dB c-weighted at my listening position. The LS7 is a wide bandwidth cable capable of resolving detail at extreme low and extreme high frequencies. Midrange exhibits excellent detail, wi...
