Re: Binge watching TV

Had a bit of a TV binge fest recently. I've taken advantage of a NOW TV £1 pm promotion. First up was the first two series of Succession. Wonderfully over the top with some great dialogue and a cast of the most dislikeable characters one could imagine. Great fun with the added bonus of the wonderful...

Re: Binge watching TV

I wonder if anyone here has watched Succession? Parallels to the Murdoch clan of course. It stars Brian Cox so that says to me it must be good, along with Bill Nighy he's my favourite actor. There's a deal on Now TV at the moment so it might be worth it just to watch this series.

Re: Binge watching TV

It's funny how Game of Thrones got all the attention and accolades, whilst Gomorrah still seems to be more of a cult thing in the UK. I'd rate Gomorrah as a better series than Game of Thrones, because it's more grounded in the gritty reality of drug dealing in Naples. The 2 programmes have parallel...

Re: Bloody weather

I courier around Huddersfield and this afternoon it was 32 deg c in Holmfirth, which is uncomfortable but nowhere near as uncomfortable as when it's -5 deg c and you have to drive back to Manchester over the top in the snow and ice. It's my poor border terrier that I feel sorry for in this weather, ...

Reminds me of the woman who recently complained to the authorities that KFC weren't offering a vegetarian option.

Re: New Adventures In HiFi

So, we hope to have two new models released by the autumn .....a 70 watt 'super' integrated with dual mono circuitry and twin power supplies, an upgraded volume pot and a remote control option. Oh balls, and there was me hoping to go a year without spending on my system after just commissioning a n...

Re: Bands / artists you would love to see live in their prime

One of my biggest regrets, going back to the late 70's again was missing out on a gig in Manchester with Graham Parker & the Rumour with Southside Johnny and the Astbury Dukes. What a bill, I can't recall exactly why I didn't go (money, or rather lack of probably), but I was gutted when my mates...
