DSD and FLAC from Channel Classics

I had some fun yesterday, Channel Classics had an open day at their HQ here in the village. He spent the afternoon giving demonstrations in hi...

Re: Star Wars is Back - beware of the Awakening!!

I remember going to see Star Wars in Manchester when it first came out. The queue ran right around the cinema. I think I saw it 2 or 3 times within a fortnight. Then same happened for 'Live and Let Die'.

Re: Star Wars is Back - beware of the Awakening!!

From the very beginning of Star Wars in the 1970's, George Lucas had 9 episodes planned - of which the original 3 films formed the central section.
Then came the 3 opening parts and now we get the trilogy that should bring the whole series to some sort of conclusion.

Re: Your last listen

After a long and exhausting evening rehearsing Christmas carols with my choir I'm relaxing to an ambient synth/sequencer CD.
'Life in Cosmic Highway' by Gert Emmens & Cadenced Haven.
And a couple of glasses of red wine really helps. :guiness;

Re: Cheap But Good Speakers.

My 2nd system features a pair of Arcam One speakers (the original version in walnut from the early 80's) powered by an equally vintage Sansui AU-217. The sound can best be described as invitingly warm and rich. These speakers can be bi-wired although i've never tried it. Bought them originally with ...

Nice list, The Flock - love that album.
'Half Moon Run' are new to me, just had a quick listen - shades of Alt-J and Midlake - worth looking out for, thanks.
