Re: Broadly defined avant-garde and modern music

As usual I can't resist adding my two-pennyworth to a thread about sounds that can provoke extreme reactions, and my addition is John Cooper Clarke, a.k.a. The Bard of Salford. Re: THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE.......?

Re: LS1 vs LS5

Amps don't do that, cable can, but speakers and room acoustics are the most likely problem. I'd agree with the Doc. What speakers are you using? I think I can sympathise: I've often been surprised by strange sounds in the music until I realise (rationalise?) that I'm hearing the instrument -the ped...

Re: LS1 vs LS5

I'll try to sort a big avatar out, didn't think if that one Ive just ordered the LS5 cable, I take it this can still be sent back if not suitable ? I can't decide whether to still get the LS1 to compare and then send back the least favourite Hmmmm I've been up the ladder - LS1 to LS5 to LS6. I star...

Re: Cuddly Bunny

What is it with women and hifi, it just bores them to tears. My wife has tried very hard over the years to be interested, but to be honest I think she would rather jump off a cliff. Maybe that females generally have the attitude that things should just work and can't be bothered with the endless fi...

Mr Dylan telling you to stay just they way you are , its better than the Lionel Ritchie and the Commodores :D
Which particular Ritchie track are you thinking of? 'Don't stop the Music', 'Dancing on the ceiling', 'Can't slow down'? or should I 'Just Go''?

Re: WHY HIFI DEALER'S.....!!!!!!

I have noticed a disproportionate amount of my UK business has been from Scotland recently. This could be down to two reasons 1/ they are tight fisted  2/ most of the hi-fi dealers in Scotland have closed 3/ the Scots have better ears than the rest of us :? Perhaps they are trying to drown...
