Re: Houdini
This is one of the only threads that interests me. The other being DQs enzyme adventures. No. I am an engineer, nit a wide eyed innocent. It is a well known fact that you cannot easily control vibration between elements if they are rigidly linked. If you believe that I am shilling this, then you are...

Re: Houdini
The big difference I see with the OL offering compared to the Isolator or Houdini is the use of through bolts.
You will never achieve the same level of vibration/resonance removal as the much more expensive products as long as you use through bolts.

Re: Houdini
You must have a tolerance level and dismiss things out of hand because you don't use crystals or other such foo. The houdini is beyond my tolerance level. My theory is the less satisfied you are, the higher your tolerance My theory is that if you are inquisitive and want to try something that will ...

Re: Houdini
Actually, I missed an important point. DQ is saying that £300 is expensive, and then compares it to changing the wife. Never done it myself, but I hear it is not cheap.... When did I say it was expensive. Don't put words in my mouth. At the time I was unable to talk I relied on my wife, you w...

Re: Houdini
My last post on this subject, unless someone asks me a specific question about it. The Denon DL103 problem seems to be an end user induced ID 10 T error. I refitted the 103, as it was bugging me that it did not work. I have increased the bias setting, and it seems to work. I guess it is time I learn...

Re: Houdini
I am not promoting it.
I am not happy that mine is £300 though, compared to the £105 others were offered it at.
I have the invoice to prove it, but I am not posting that online.

Re: Houdini
Why do you look for a new wife, hammer or job. Dissatisfaction or inquisition. Believing that a 300 quid insert between cartridge and tonearm can transform your system is ludicrous. If you are open to the idea then ipso facto you are dissatisfied. And finally 'I won't trouble the forum with my reas...

I think it has been in development for a while. I read somewhere that it comes from his statement arm.

Re: Houdini
Yes, I have been in touch with FF. he has asked me to return it so he can understand what is going on, but asked me to wait a few days as they are extremely busy. This is when I offered him my 103 so he can see what is happening. I am not sure it is marketed as universal. I have not seen any specifi...
