Audio aphorism
I said this 30 years ago it is still valid. 1 There is only one thing better than the best component money can buy, and that is no component at all. 2 Never use two components when you can do the job with one. 3 Screw up your earth (ground) paths at your peril. 4 Always use the largest transformer ...

Re: UPS
I guess it depends what site you used to book. I use interparcel, and on the list of services it says against UPS printer required. What site did you use to book? Normally with UPS if you are missing something (I forgot customs declarations one time) the driver is happy to come back the next day onc...

Re: Purpose built Chinese DAC
The 1547 is a 1 bit dac, the 1541 is a r2r ladder, very different things. Not saying it will sound bad, but to say one is based on the other is a bit of a stretch. The TDA 1547 is based on the much desired TDA 1541a chip

Re: The Grateful Dead.....
FFS . how can , I played with my dog , be the same as my dog tolerates me playing with him !!!!!!!! Well, the above can be understood between two humans, just consider the dynamic between a tennis player and his trainer. It just involves having a understanding that not everyone is the same as you. ...

Re: The Grateful Dead.....
o dear . once again you are TELLING ME WHAT I AM SAYING . ffs STOP IT . No, I am attempting (though its clearly a lost cause, so I wont bother again) to show that the meaning behind what you are saying is not necessarily how you perceive it. I am not telling you what you are saying, that would be s...

Re: The Grateful Dead.....
"no incidents of anthromorphising I see" I was forever playfully biting his nose and paws and he would playfully bite my hand to try and stop me. Sounds to me like you are interpreting its behaviour in human terms there, What you interpret as play may be something very different from a dog...

Re: The Grateful Dead.....
It is quite clear which dogs have dangerous temperaments and powerful locking bites . These dogs should be bred out of existence. Assuming you are as you say occupationally literal, I would say its telling that you used both powerful and locking, when you are now saying you regard them as synonyms.

Re: The Grateful Dead.....
Not at all. You repeated some false ideas that are behind the flawed and knee jerk dangerous dog legislation, I pointed out how what you said, referring to locking jaws was a miss-truth, and went on to say that the problem is always people, and the biggest problem is people assuming dogs will behave...

Re: The Grateful Dead.....
Whatever, my point is how easy it is to misunderstand the relationship dynamics between humans and dogs. Claiming my understanding is flawed is probably true, but it is based on conversation with more than one fully trained canine behaviourist. The fact that you still believe that "locking jaws...
