I'm sure 7m of TIS wouldn't degrade the signal too much.

If that means a built-in phono preamp then it could be the phono amp that's driving the 7m cable, not the cartridge direct.
That's still a very long i/c! I would never do it.

Yes, folks I'm the one with the silly grin on his face! :D When my A80 developed a fault I reverted back to an old (very old) ali cased A60. Upgrading to LS6 (from LS1) and recently from P50 to P90SA meant I wasn't really missing the A80s. UNTIL... The TSS arrived. With a BUMP. Man, is that P/S heav...
