Re: AoS

BMU ignorance is still rife, now Il Duce joins in (well he is an expert) but when he is given an answer he still doesn't understand basically because he doesn't understand his question. I am now being told the secondary has no safety connection to the mains side WRONG [/b] But it is not my job to te...

Re: Digital Upscaling

The fact that it is always the same channel seems to me like a production or programming fault just on a few of them, on filtered amps it will not cause a problem but for NVA it can be lethal to the amp.

Re: Digital Upscaling

Had another amp fail this morning on a Metrum, same system has now taken out a couple and only on the right channel, there is something wrong about what they are doing with that DAC. Lurcher looked into it and cannot find it, but for me (and the customer) the coincidence is too big as the amps never...

Re: Digital Upscaling

It strikes me of the usual conundrum of Hi-Fi v Music. It is extremely difficult to get both, so which is more important when you can't get perfection.

Re: AoS

He is making it an absolute, to my mind he is wrong even with ClassI as a modern CU will beat anything else to it. But with ClassII he is COMPLETELY WRONG i.e. BULLSHIT. There was a lot of testing and fault conditions went into the NVA BMU including some invented by the electrical safety accountant ...

Re: Headphones?

Ithi will have headphone comparison table in his room at Wigwam show with some very expensive headphones and amps - he is a headphone Guru.

In fact I hoped you would respond, knowing you both use a BMU in your system and work in the electrical distribution business. Actually I had seen that item before, but could no...

Re: AoS

Once again the uninformed prattle about BMU safety starts again. Ali Tait links to a article that is simply wrong and has been polluting BMU acceptance for years. They are absolutely safe if trip protected if built as ClassI, if built as ClassII the way nva is then even that is not needed, the CU do...

Re: AoS

I said way back that my instinct said it *may*, if it is working, be made redundant or made worse by a BMU, and his BMU is wasted if he doesn't run his power amps through it.
