slinger wrote: Sat Feb 10, 2024 2:56 pm Nice one, Geoff. I hope you got a sleeve credit.
I did indeed :) And a couple of free copies, of course, which I've passed on to friends (I'd already told the band that they were free to use the photos I gave them).
Really nice bunch of people - with an interesting past.

Re: Your last listen

Listening to this properly, for the first time, I am also struck by the power and control that Grace Jones voice has, I have never taken her very seriously and am now en route to checking out her albums 'Warm Leatherette' and 'Nightclubbing'. Also a couple of Horn-produced CD's from Seal are in and...

Re: Attempting to solve hum on p80/s300

A long shot, but -

Re: Your last listen

It may be 4 am, but I'm into side 2 of "Radio Silence" by Boris Grebenshikov.
I can't remember how I discovered this album, but it was responsible for my finding a hidden world of Russian rock . . .

I also rather like his earlier work with Aquarium. YouTube is handy :D

Re: Your last listen

Oddly enough, a conversation this afternoon involved Acid Mothers Temple . . . However, I've just finished my first spin of "Walk Like A Whelk" by the marvellous Shoes For Industry. I had searched for many years to find this album, and was leaving a shop today when I thought "I'll jus...

Re: Denafrips Iris DDC & NVA P50

This could be my option for increasing my input count . . . A second P50 to link via the tape loop . . .

Hmmm - I shall have a ponder :D

Re: Your last listen

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, especially for a 2-tab listen . . . Einstein On The Beach, 4-LP version It really does test the whole system - if anything isn't right it can sound terribly messy, but get things set correctly and it is pretty darned incredible. This follows some Althea & Donna, ...

Re: PJ Harvey

Sky Arts did an hour and a half broadcast of her 2016 concert at Nuits de Fourvière (Lyon) - last showing was 29th July.
I've recorded it, but not watched yet.

If you have access to the channel, it might be worth a visit :)
