Re: Your last listen

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea, especially for a 2-tab listen . . . Einstein On The Beach, 4-LP version It really does test the whole system - if anything isn't right it can sound terribly messy, but get things set correctly and it is pretty darned incredible. This follows some Althea & Donna, ...

Re: PJ Harvey

Sky Arts did an hour and a half broadcast of her 2016 concert at Nuits de Fourvière (Lyon) - last showing was 29th July.
I've recorded it, but not watched yet.

Kuunatic – Gate Of Klüna A rather mesmerising work from 3 young Japanese ladies who come from different parts of the country, each with distinct cultural and musical traditions. "Their music explores ritual drumming, pulsing bass lines, atmospheric keyboard sounds and Japanese traditional instr...

It's still playing, but Solti and the Chicago Symphony smashing out Mahler's 3rd. A long-time favourite.

Re: Alternate pre amp

Oooh - yes, I need a switch for the phono stage output to decide whether the signal goes to the preamp or the headphone amp . . .

Time to do some research :)

Re: Alternate pre amp

Actually - this has reminded me that I was going to ask you good folks if you could recommend a straightforward way to increase the number of sources to my PA50 . . . I need at least 2 more. Any good (preferably passive) switching boxes that won't leave my bank balance feel as if the Mongol Hordes h...

Re: Your last listen

Having had an extended wander this afternoon, between pubs I foolishly visited Rough Trade "just to have a look" . . .

But I have to admit, the Killing Joke dub album is spectacular. Neon Yellow, number 0164 of 1500 double album.

You need the proper stimulation, obviously :epopc:
