Re: North West Audio Show, Cranage
For what it is worth as this was our 7th year at Cranage we were greatly encouraged by the amount of women, who were not being dragged around reluctantly, youngsters and families. There were also a significant amount more people we have never seen before. From our perspective the future is looking b...

Re: NVA P50SA MkII Preamp vs MFA Classic
Hi Alan, I can't remember all of the details as it's a few years ago now but we used an MFA classic V2 for a while but found it lacklustre and fairly bass light..... honestly couldn't see what all the fuss was about as it had just received several really good reviews. It was replaced with P50SA MkII...

Re: Townshend seismic isolation products
I decided to bring this subject up on another forum and there turns out to be quite a few users of Townshend podiums there. They are all very impressed with the effect and three that have replied so far use them on ground floor concrete floors  I was thinking about this this morning. To the ...

Re: Lightning v Hifi
Sorry to hear about the cd player but to be honest your lucky you didn't post this from a hotel room. Houses don't often come off well when struck. On the up side it's time for an upgrade! and you will never get a better excuse.

Point of order Fretless, that's not a football, this is:
Buckminsterfullerene is a type of fullerene with the formula C60. It has a cage-like fused-ring structure (truncated icosahedron) that resembles a soccer ball, made of twenty hexagons and twelve pentagons. Each carbon atom has three bonds.

Re: Opinions on how the Government have handled the coronavirus outbreak
People who make ferraris and yachts will be employed elsewhere making goods for everybody, who will spend the money the elites squander. Economies are nothing more than the circulation of monies. The same money will be circulating it will just be spent differently. Exactly my point. It makes no rea...

Re: Opinions on how the Government have handled the coronavirus outbreak
Put simply its better for society if 30 million families spend the cash in the supermarket, than an elite spend the same money on ferraris and yachts. [/quote] This assumes both are optional. Virtually everyone, including the elite, have to eat therefore shop at supermarkets. However the purchase of...

Re: Opinions on how the Government have handled the coronavirus outbreak
In January, Matt Hancock had said in the House of Commons that the UK was "well-prepared and well-equipped to tackle any contagion" and that we "had a world-leading test for Covid-19" Was he misguided or over optimistic...or was he filling in a German passport application?...
