Re: Schumann Resonance
Oh well. The Schumann Resonance device is no use, for blocking or overcoming the noise intrusion from next door's (quiet) washing machine. Never the less it will still be used. I think the neighbours machine must be putting out infrasonic sound that, as mentioned, due to hypersensitivity, targets my...

Re: Schumann Resonance
Thanks for the information. Time to moan - I asked due to it being a personal problem. A next door neighbour uses a washing machine and tumble drier overnight, on a very regular basis. We do not get on due to this and other noise intrusions. Land lord has been no help. And complaints have been made ...

Schumann Resonance
The Earth frquency 7.83Hz or Schumann Resonance interests me at the moment. A lot of stuff is sold on the basis it produces this frequency and can help with sleep among other things. I have read that the small machines that can produce it are too small to make any difference and that it's all woo wo...

Re: Your last listen
Porcupine Tree - Voyage 34 When Voyage 34 was released (1994 approx.) I loved it immediately. Back then they were still on the Delerium label. About ten years ago I sold most of my PTree collection, which then was most of the back catalogue. Keeping a few faves which includes Voyage 34 original 12&...

Re: Electronic Music
That's a great album. First time I've heard it, thanks. Bandcamp has loads of quality electronic music. Recent music on the label I've bought is by 'Natalie beridze - Of which one knows'. And streamed music by 'Handstitched'. The Din Bandcamp store has a small number of copies of the D'Voxx 'Telegra...

Re: Connecting cable
That cheap wire is 'strangling' the output SQ. Better would be this sort of thing (AudioQuest adaptor on Amazon): https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61D9TsW0gHL._AC_SX569_.jpg or a higher-quality cable fitted with 3.5mm/RCA plugs. I bought the audioquest adapter and it has improved sound quality. ...

Re: Connecting cable
Damnit, put this in the wrong section. I had a daft idea in mind of NVA making a one off connector for this very situation.

Connecting cable
I have a device (Brennan CD ripper) that can link to the NVA P20 using a short piece of cable with 3.5mm jack to stereo female phono sockets; 22052022149.gif So from the Brennan output socket sits the cheapo cable pictured which is connected to NVA SSC interconnect. The link cable does seem to reduc...

Re: Japanese Direct Drive Appreciation
My first DD turntable was a Sony I'd picked up at a second hand shop for £30-40 in early 90's. It had the strobe light and a varispeed knob. I didn't really know what I had at the time and didn't have it long before buying a new Dual belt drive deck. Wish I'd hung onto the Sony, Ah well. Years later...
