Re: Up the grade path - SSP or LS5

That's a very nice offer, but no worries, I will stick to my SSP 80cm ebay order and keep both SSC too. It wasn't really a money thing, more of an excess. I may need them both at some point, and they were a good deal on Black Fri. I can always advertise a set if I need to claw back some pennies. Tha...

Re: Up the grade path - SSP or LS5

Oops, Sorry.
I Think I have got it now! So it would need to have been a 1.5 mtr length of SSP to do the part ex.
Apologies for confusion and posting in the wrong area.

Kevin.

Re: Up the grade path - SSP or LS5

Thanks for the info Quarknosis, Richard. So SSP it is, order made and 'orders' thread updated . I shall look into speaker wire upgrade at a later date. so far I am enjoying speaker placement fiddling, so the affordable length of LS3 is useful. Just a side question. If upgrading AP70 to Stepped At. D...

Up the grade path - SSP or LS5

Hello, I was thinking of taking advantage of an upgrade before the May price increase. As I have only been listening to the current system for a month or so, it is a bit premature, but more importantly a money save. I have an Integrated AP70, Phono2 (1x psu) which will remain, 2 lengths of SSC and 4...

Re: Favourite tunes

Back in the days when record shops were plenty, and musical styles were not so pigeon holed, I would always head to the Rock n Pop section, which covered most of the floor space. This is where 99% of my music came from.
So for me Rock n pop then soul.

There is one at ebay that needs a new counterweight for under £50 at the moment.

Thanks! took a punt and won it. I shall send it to J7 for a rewire etc in the not too distant future.

Re: Kegworth HiFi show

If I May? Kegworth show. I have attended 9 out of the past 10 shows (missed the 1st). I can’t remember how I came by it, as I am not a member or ever read any posts at WigWam, neither do I know anyone involved in hi-fi or any forums. But I have enjoyed every visit and even one year spent a few songs...

Re: Denon 103 and Varients

I shall trawl the archives for your advice and if I see a R200 maybe take a punt. Bear in mind, now you have said that prices may soar.
Many thanks.

Re: Denon 103 and Varients

I have had on standard DL103 which I liked very much, it was fitted to a (Jonny7 rewired) Rega RB250. Apparently a big no-no in hi-fi land. It sounded very good to me however. About 3 years ago I sent it off to the Van de hul company to get it re-worked. On return it was fitted back to the Rega and ...

The 39 Steps in all its guises, Hitchcock's being my favorite. Not interested in the faithfulness to the book, Iv'e never read it.
