Re: AP10H Headphone Amplifier
I appreciate that Doc. I used to read a lot on head-fi, it was a good place over 10 years ago but it's different now. Heavy censorship and everything is good, nothing gets a bad review. I only look at the classifieds now.

Re: AP10H Headphone Amplifier
My apologies for causing grief. It was not my intention to cast aspersions on the AP10H, although I can see why it could be taken that way. First, I live in East Kilbride, near Glasgow. I very much appreciate the offers to come and listen to the AP10H but I don't think you guys are close enough. Doc...

Re: AP10H Headphone Amplifier
Alternatively, I could read your profile  Looks like Demon D7100. Very sensitive and very low impedance for headphones (25ohm). The HD800 is a high impedance unit (300ohm) and not quite as sensitive. Assuming the Doc does optimise the amp for different headphones (and I'm not at all certain I h...

Re: AP10H Headphone Amplifier
I think I read somewhere here (been doing a lot of reading over the last week or so) that Doc optimises the output of the amp depending on which headphones you use? If this is true can you tell me which headphones you use? And if I have mis-remembered, please accept my apologies.

Re: Introduce Yourselves
Hi, I have just taken the plunge with NVA and am now waiting for some used A80 Mk1 amps along with new I/Cs and speaker cables to arrive from Doc. My hifi history is long and full of some very good and very bad purchases. For a long time I was in the Royal Navy and being at sea meant headphones were...

AP10H Headphone Amplifier
Hi, Having taken the plunge and purchased the used A80 Mk1 amps that the Doc had for sale I am now changing tack and thinking about my headphone listening, which is in many ways more important to me than speaker-based listening. The main reason I decided to try the NVA speaker amps and cables (apart...
