Unipivots are really difficult to set up properly.....
Nope, they just require more patience. You can't be ham fisted or you will break something

Re: Roksan Xerexs

I posted that link more to show a little microcosm of the industry in the late 70s early 80s, and that some people were starting to resent the bias towards certain products, and that article in particular shows the bias as seen by the author. The bloke had the lp12/grace/supex combo so prevalent at ...

Re: Roksan Xerexs

Look at the practical hifi 79 review.
A real eye opener. Not everyone in the industry was bent it seems, and the reviewer doesnt seem very happy about the state of affairs.
Not a roksan, but i thought it illustrated some interesting points

Re: Wanted : arm for a project

A bit too much work involved in extricated one from the plastic ( or is it ally on that one, can't tell) baseplate, ime they tend to have the lateral bearings sat in a moulded plasic housing and are a sod to get out without damage.

Pretty good on their original decks though

Wanted : arm for a project

I'm after a tonearm to go on a small project I'm doing at the moment. Ive had a lenco gl59 sat for the last 6 months. No arm was on it, so ive modified the chassis by cutting the side off it where the arm was so that it is now square, and welded the rolled edge back on so that it looks like a square...

Re: What part of your system is weakest.

I'm sure it would, they are nice little dacs. I keep thinking about getting one of those, and then end up buying some old turntable instead
Just can't see the point in spending anything at all on something i just don't use

Re: What part of your system is weakest.

Worst bit, the beresford to 7510 dac. Its not up to the standard of rest of it. But then its a budget dac so what do I expect.
But that's OK, I dont use digital very much at all. Cant remember the last time I turned it on to be honest

Re: Your last listen

I quite like the stuff in the 90s, grew up listening to stuff like placebo, garbage, massive attack, britpop stuff such as oasis, blur, kula shaker, more rock like stuff such as stereophonic and mansun. Miserable stuff like the verve and 90s rem Then there was the louder heavier stuff like foo fight...
