Re: Got tickets to see - your next live listen

Apparently Bruce Foxton had cancer a couple of years ago and in 2019 reported that his hearing and sight were failing.

Re: Got tickets to see - your next live listen

Saw From the Jam a few years back and Foxton was leaping about. They played a smaller venue on this tour and I did not go. Being very selective with AC/DC costing an arm and a leg. The "cheap" train tickets to London came on sale yesterday £62. :angry-screaming: Must be the advancing year...

Re: Got tickets to see - your next live listen

Went to see From The Jam last night at Leeds Beckett University. I must have been the youngest person there  Mostly bald, overweight old men with personal hygiene issues. Support was The Skids. I thought the skids were very enjoyable. Front man was very energetic on stage for an old bloke. His ...

Bit more done. Off side vertical arch panel (2mm) tacked in. https://i.imgur.com/giH8QPU.jpeg The curved arch panel is bent and roughly offered up to the vertical panel. Those three pipes are part of the fuel tank breather system. The fuel cap isn't vented on fourtraks so there is another way of sto...

Re: Stu

Done some more work on the off (drivers) side. A bit of the floor got replaced. Spot welded it (2mm steel) to the floor strengthening beams for now. It wasn't rotten but would have bothered me as it was very rusty. https://i.imgur.com/9BHVblz.jpeg Vertical part (2mm steel) of new arch is cut, primed...

Re: Stu

This is what confronted me after taking the plastic wheel arch extensions off, removing the interior and doing some wire brushing. Holy crap Batman. Come a long way since.

Re: Stu

Some more fabrication completed. Rear near side is now all tacked up and ready for final welding. Bit late to incorporate anything looking like a drum  . I'm quite pleased with it although with my tendency to verge towards perfectionism I have beat myself up regularly about how I could have don...

Re: I have joined the mainstream

This hobby is not important to me anymore so I guess it doesn't matter as long as you enjoy the music. I never really saw Hi-Fi as a hobby, I just wanted to listen to music. Ultimately my main system was chosen because it had a remote control. Is the frequency response of that remote control accura...

Re: Stu

I bought NVA not to be different (although I was pleased with that as a side effect) but because I could actually chat with the guy who was building it and cut through the bollocks. I know little of tech-speak but I've got a pretty decent bullshit-meter, and Richard wasn't registering on it. Yes, t...
