Some people are old, infirm, with poor eyesight, own older gear that could probably do with a touch up. To be honest it doesn't seem excessive. Something that will take 10 minutes and they likely used to do for just the cost of any parts needed. And you wait 2 weeks - though that is probably the precursor to offering an 'express' service at £75...
