Re: Metrum
Value is obviously an individual concept, but you could look at The Beresford Caiman SEG for £300, the Cambridge Dac Magic Plus for the same or the Cambridge Dac 100 for like half that. The DAC3 for around £100 and that's before you even get into 2nd hand. Loads of choice. Hi George. Has your Metru...

Re: Advice on Speaker Stands
When I had this with mine I just pushed the grille sideways. With mine I found I could almost get it to vibrate with a sharp tap with my fingertips, (not knuckles), so I just kept shoving it about until it sounded "dead". It hardly moves at all, certainly not enough to see but it did sort...

Re: God help America
Trump likes us Brits and wants to do trade deals with us, unlike Obama spouting what Cameron told him to say when he visited pre Brexit ('Back of the queue, rather than back of the line as Americans would say). Might that actually help this country? Trump has golf courses in Scotland so it's good b...

Re: God help America
Trump said the things he calculated would get him elected. He saw a 'gap in the market' and went for it. Now he will do the things that suit him. In particular, that means tax reforms and relaxing of co2 reduction targets, reduction in welfare and repeal of Obamacare. The savings from the last two w...

Re: Advice on Speaker Stands
*sigh* I am starting to feel as though my integrity is being challenged/questioned. Is that the case or am I misinterpreting what is being posted? I understand the frustration, but doesn't look that way in terms of the actual substance of the replies. As you know, I'd be the first to throw up a red...

Rooms - fixtures, fittings etc - definitely like to sing along to the music... Ornaments, pictures, glasses, cups, door frames, even furniture that's not screwed together properly Little fixes for these are free and easy if you can spend the time Extra room furnishings can also help, IME - heavy rug...

Re: God help America
For all his disgusting attitudes and behaviours...Trump is a pragmatist. He will want to get deals done and he will simply 'forget and deny' what he has said in the campaign if it suits him. The most disappointed may turn out to be the retarded bigots who are expecting a wall or a ban on muslims...

Re: Advice on Speaker Stands
Of course. That's how I've used them since purchase. There's a hint of resonance with them flat on top of the stands (oak with cavity filled with 10KG Atacama Attabytes and sat on spikes on top of an inch of slate), but otherwise they are fine. I am trying to understand why it's happening; I don't ...
