When i was about 7, i had an uncle who would playing manfred man all the time.i hadnt thought of this band in about 35 years until i heared fox on the run on talksport. 5 days later, and i got the greatest hits on mint vinyl for 99p. Amusingly i remember all the lryics. And best of all i had forgot...

I have an old Pioneer T/T in the loft that I bought from Cash Converters about 20 years ago for £30. I got it down this afternoon. To my surprise, it's a PL-71. It looks a bit sorry for itself but there doesn't seem to be any actual damage other than one of the feet has lost it's spring. It runs but...

In the pre-internet days I would end up at a dealer to listen to pieces of equipment that I had read about in magazine reviews. They'd play me 2 or 3 tracks through each bit of kit, from records I bought along, and I would then make a decision. I wouldn't get to talk with anyone else about the gear ...

Thanks SVP, listened to the whole album on Youtube but sorry, didn't get the vibe, :oops: must be a age thing, i would hazard a guess you are in your 20's at most and i am double that plus. :lol: Went back to Michael Kiwanuka - 'Love and Hate' and everything is fine again. 20s? I'm not a fan of hollow steel stands - to my ears they audibly ring and blur the sound. Filling them with heavy shot or sand doesn't fix their colourations for me, either.
