Re: Lost for words
I have no idea Geoff. For me it is something that I refuse to become interested in. It's the start of a very slippery slope. £30 a pop is not too bad but anything more than that seems ridiculously expensive. Does anybody know exactly why or how ? Maybe a dalliance with the Littelton fuses as listed...

Re: Lost for words
My point was that if you replace a fuse with a copper bar the sound improves. Nobody is arguing otherwise. So, subjectively, the fuse is affecting the sound. Why? How? I have no idea Geoff. For me it is something that I refuse to become interested in. It's the start of a very slippery slope. £30 a ...

Re: Lost for words
I believe we've done this subject before, not for a $700 fuse but those ranging in price from £30-130. Nice of you to put yourself up for ridicule NK  only joking, may I ask what pieces of equipment have you got these fuses in, and why have you not replaced all with one? The ACME fuses were bo...

Re: Lost for words
This is a controversial topic, perhaps I am not doing myself any favors by weighing in. I obtained a couple of fuses from Audio Magic. The damned little things make a difference in several ways. Why? I really don't have a good reason why they do, but its pretty easy to hear, and its repeatable. Late...

Re: I Found A Table To Put The Dynavector DV505 Tone Arm On
For what it is worth, you could do as Ant says and return it for a full refund, including postage. Alternatively you could keep it and pay for the repairs. Finally, you could negotiate a substantial discount to cover the repairs. Except the seller stopped communicating after the first two batteries...

Re: I Found A Table To Put The Dynavector DV505 Tone Arm On
Decisions, decisions, decisions. Is the designer looking for a suitable motor, it would be a shame to use a Sota motor, although I can understand your thinking, I would have thought part of the Amazon's appeal and performance comes from the battery supplied motor. Yes it is a bit of a pickle isn't ...

Re: I Found A Table To Put The Dynavector DV505 Tone Arm On
So this is the response I got from the designer. thank you for the detailed description! It seems for me that the commutator of the motor is defective. Your turntable is about 15 years old ... hope we have still a replacement motor. So it appears the table was sent with a sick motor. I believe I hav...

Re: Cables from the States
I know of Morrow cables, but not have heard them. The problem with cable companies is that anyone who can solder ends onto a wire is now a cable builder. They often use off the spool wire of some offbeat source, and then cover it in tech-flex, write some stuff about being organic, holistic, and deta...
