Re: Bridge rectifier
The advantage is that if there is any current in the ground, because of either the amp circuit drawing different amounts from the +ve and -ve rail or the audio not being balanced around 0 then you don’t pass the current through the transformer secondary and so cause it to saturate.

SETI@home (similar distributed computing platform) was running for 20 years, any results yet? And your point being? The "Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search" found the 51st Known Mersenne Prime in 2018, all 24,862,048 digits of it. They (universities with state-of-the art computing labs)...

Engineering not vodoo is the source of differences. I agree 100%, but then I wasn't the one that said I think there's a lot of rubbish talked about cartridges. The innards are simply copper and a magnet. How can they sound different from cartridge to cartridge, with the exception of output. I bough...

Re: Good, Cheap, Cartridges
I think there's a lot of rubbish talked about cartridges. The innards are simply copper and a magnet. How can they sound different from cartridge to cartridge, with the exception of output. So, to take that to the extreme to point out the flaw in your statement, do you suggest that all MM and MC ca...

Re: Integrated Nva clone
Could be wrong but is the bottom enclosed transformer wired correctly ? The centre tap is usually the orange and red leads connected together with black and yellow going to the rectfier. It does depend on the make of transformer though and might be worth checking the manufacturers manual. Yes, I ag...

Re: It's so Ethereal
I would suggest a different subnet or class C on the audio network and set the PC or whatever up to work as a router between networks.
