Cubette Mk 2 Review

This review is long overdue but to be honest I have been struggling to assess the new version of the Cubettes. That is not a negative because I really like what they do which is play music in such an enjoyable way that I do not feel the need to listen critically. There are a couple of examples where...

Re: Songs having a go at managers/record labels

The Wailers - Small Axe

If you are the Big Tree we are the small axe, allegedly the Big Tree referred to the three major record producers or labels in Jamaica at the time.

Re: Your fav' CD players

I would love to hear a Meridian 206B again in my current system. It sounded great when I had one years ago but it broke down and when I sent it for repair I didn't get it back. I have recently been listening to a NOS modified Philips CD104, not hi-fi by today's standards but an enjoyable listen neve...

Re: somethingfunny

So in the NVA Phono 2 thread Biggy/somethingfunny says about the AOS bake off "I don't see obvious manipulation...." While obviously manipulating the Phono 2 thread itself :snooty: It was becoming obvious that he was a plant to support Firebottle, the trouble is deceit is very difficult to keep up i...

Re: Cubette mk2s

Mine arrived this afternoon. Packing was to the usual high standard and they look great, much better than the mk1s in my opinion and easily as good as they look in the listings. Build quality is top notch too. They have just been placed where the previous speakers were and sound very good without an...

Re: Hi-Fi Shows

A 'pedantic alert'. Is that like...a warning triangle that is really fussy about where you put it? No its the same as say pulling someone up about a spelling mistake even though its obvious to a blind man what it says.. No need for it is there  Ever noticed i spell words in a Yorkshire dialec...

Re: Hi-Fi Shows

Latest version of the show blurb for NW Audio Show, Cranage. NVA WE ARE DIFFERENT - WE ARE A DIRECT SELLER So we have no distributors or retailers, we sell to everyone at trade price. This can amount to over 50% saving on an equivalent purchase. We also have a distinct dislike of the current rip-of...

Re: Cubette mk2s

I am seriously considering the Cubette mk2s at the moment,
I'm just waiting for some money to come into my account.

Doc, are the prototypes still available? If they are what's the shipping cost likely to be and is the shipping cost included in the production ones?

Re: What's your best bargain lp

I bought the eponymously titled Heron LP and their second LP, Twice as Nice & Half the Price at our local Kidney Research shop for 25p each.

Although I liked the first LP I wasn't that keen on the second so it was sold for a decent sum.
