Re: Cubettes

I received my Cube 2s yesterday and after the Cubettes the bass is much fuller. My experience with non NVA speakers with fuller bass is that it has then had an impact on the rest of the frequency range. However the 2s manage fuller bass with no detriment elsewhere. There are many other improvements ...

Re: advice on change

The only amp that I have heard from your kit is the Cyrus and my AP20 and P50sa/A20x easily better it. For me the stepped attenuator made a big improvement and I would always recommend buying one if you can afford to.

Re: Cube 2 auction

Do you want the other pair then. You will have to wait for me to build them though. I will let you have them for your bid £480 inc postage. Yes please  I'm ok to wait as my Cubettes are doing fine service in the meantime. If you can PM me payment details I should be able to get payment made b...

Re: How much !

I have owned both a Sugden A21 and an early version of the A21a (the one with the orange power switch) from the 90's and I have to agree with DSJR about the original version. I enjoyed the A21a though, probably my favourite pre NVA amp.

Re: Wot it means to have a bona-fide ProgMasterman in your midst

Firstly you puppies should be submissive to the older, prog-wise dog. I cannot stress this overmuch. The resident Progmasterman must be shown DEFERENCE. The Progmasterman deserves your respect. This is the key. When forums become frivolous and...bouncy and unpredictable in their frequency of plianc...

Re: Skip finds

I found a valve radio which my niece has as at the moment, I was able to pick up some distant stations on it but it still needs attention. She has never switched it on and only has it as an ornament really. Also a Sony music centre years ago that I stripped the turntable out of and made a new plinth...

Re: Systemdek IIX help needed.

Thank you all for your help, I'll order a 220 ohm resistor and fit it and see what voltage I achieve from the PSU before connecting the motor up. The PSU in that thread is different to mine though. I have 0.82uF and 1uF Caps and the resistor was a ceramic encased type. I also noticed that there didn...
