Re: Peter Belt gone

I have used PWB products since the 1980's and can recommend the inexpensive Silver Rainbow Foil and Cream Electret, which I believe can transform the sound of CDs in particular. I know that I am exposing myself to ridicule, but why not take advantage of the free offer of samples of Silver Rainbow Fo...

Re: Some SERIOUS advice please!

Nowhere, on the internet can one find a negative review of any NVA gear, despite Doc (hilariously), being banned from multiple hi-fi message boards (and even Tai Chi!).
Just brilliant entertainment! (Pure devilment on Docs part, no doubt!).

Re: Some SERIOUS advice please!

I will probably wait until December 2017 and go the 'whole hog' ; but may go with NVA cables first. The problem is, I have an obsession with cable 'direction'. Having read numerous articles in the past about 'all cables being directional, some more than others', I find it kind of reassuring if there...

Some SERIOUS advice please!

I currently have the following: Naim CD5 XS CD player (now over £2,000) and a Naim XS mk1 integrated amplifier (Mk 2 is now over £1,700 I think). I bought the kit following receiving a gratuity after taking partial retirement. After many years of reading HiFi mags from the 1970s through to the 1990s...

Re: Doctors Strike....

In my opinion, your last sentence is particularly profound; especially in the reference to Islam. It seems to me that all religions are methods to control the masses and have been the cause of most, if not all, of the wars past and present. However, most religions seem to have evolved and appear to ...

Wow(!), I can barely comprehend any of that! I practise Spring Forest Qigong; very simple form which can be seen on 'Youtube'.

Re: Doctors Strike....

Yes, T.M. is mantra based. I also used to practise yoga, but found I was better suited to Qigong; albeit a very rudimentary form, but very effective. Good to encounter a forum where almost anything can be discussed!

Re: Doctors Strike....

Thanks Doc, most interesting! Thought this thread had mysteriously disappeared. What do you think about Transcendental Meditation? I have practised this since 1974 - influenced by guess which band? (It was really cool to learn in those days). I think it works brilliantly, or of course I would have g...

Re: Tonbridge Jumble Sale

Just looked at the price list for Audio Gold and spotted an Exposure 10 for sale. I once had an Exposure 10 which I bought new in the late 80s or early 90s. I think I paid around the same for new, what Audio Gold are asking for a 2nd hand item which is 25 years old or more :o . I'ts hardly a collect...
