OBIT
Now there's a name from my past. Never knew about his early 70's connection with Help Yourself, an excellent band well worth checking out.

Re: Freedb no longer in operation

Personally I always found EAC too slow at ripping so for a few years now I've used dBPoweramp which does the same job but quicker.

Re: Simon McBride

I've seen him live a couple of times and have all his albums. As you say Slinger, he's not known by many people I would guess, but he is a stunningly good guitarist, one of my favourites actually. A must see act if you get the chance.

Re: Contact Tracing Top 11

Yes indeed, that was the surprising aspect of the video. What a voice though!

What a great Steve Marriott video :greetings-clapyellow:
I was a fan of his voice for ages before I realised what a good guitarist he was.

Re: FS: Cube 2

Don't worry I'm not! Check out my earlier post from this morning. I was sat quietly this morning listening to them and I realised it would be a mistake I would always regret if I did sell them, so I withdrew them from sale. As Terry said, sense has prevailed

Re: FS: Cube 2

There's definitely a bigger presence as you go up the chain, if I can put it like that. When I met The Doc at the NW show once I asked about going up from the A20 to a pair of A40's to a A60 etc and what I should expect. He said just more of everything, simple as that. Same with the Cubes.

Re: FS: Cube 2

I started with Cubettes, moved up to Cube 3's, and then finally my Cube 2's. I do not have a huge listening room (5 x 4 mtrs) but each upgrade in speaker has been an improvement. It doesn't matter what type of music I throw at them either. At the time when The Doc brought out the Cubettes at their r...

Re: FS: Cube 2

The last few weeks have caused me to listen to these speakers more than ever and they never fail to impress and delight me. Listening to them again this morning ( Radio Paradise Eclectic Mix ) and they sound sublime. So much so that seeing as there has been no interest on here or Ebay (plenty of wat...
