NVA TFS

Has anyone any experience (including you Richard) of the NFA TFS?

I know what it is and that it's pretty old, as it runs Windows7. The components are top-notch.... Sold-State drive rather than a spinner, a good DAC and software. Plus I know that NVA provided the PSU(s)?

Any comments anyone?

Re: Other Kit

Thank you for your responses. I don't wish to consider the Cambridge as what I have already is a very good spinner/player in the Apollo. Plus I would have to retain the Brio DAC. My intention (as always) is to get the best sound quality for the money. I will probably be able to sell the Apollo and B...

Other Kit

I presently use a Rega set-up with an Apollo player (used as a transport), with a Brio DAC. It's always performed well and it sort-of 'fits' with the NVA boxes. However, I'm thinking about swapping this out for a Primare unit as there are several very good deals (about half-price) for a unit that ma...

Re: If it smells like a dog

That's a shame Antonio66. As for the suggestion about discussing other kit, I'm all for it.

To start..... see fresh post. 'Other Kit'.

Re: If it smells like a dog

I accept that a good deal of the contributors here own NVA kit. Me included. However I find that to be coincidental to the majority of subjects discussed here. For me I find the eclectic tastes and opinions very stimulating. Personally I don't care if persons find this to be an NVA site... that's th...

NVA TIS Review

Hello all. This about the TIS interconnects recently purchased. Richard asked for a review from those who purchased same. Saturday 21 October. I first purchased a length of TIS to replace my SSP digital interconnect between CD spinner and DAC (both Rega). I used all the same settings on the DAC so t...

Re: Any Pink Floyd fans here?

Are we discussing Pink Floyd fans here, or fans of fans of Pink Floyd? Yes I am a fan. Was 17 when Welcome to the Machine was released. I had hitch-hiked (illegally) to see the Pompeii concert, and have been a life-long fan ever since. It was the stage shows and electronic wizardry that I found the ...

Re: Led Zeppelin

I was very lucky. A (catholic) neighbour accepted 'child refugees' from Belfast in early 1971. Because of that I met a young girl called Katherine Flood who exchanged my T Rex collection for Led Zeppelin II. No looking back from that point in time. Never knew what happened to Katherine. A very diffe...

Re: Led Zeppelin

Saw LZ live at Preston Guild Hall in (I think) 1972. Was wearing dark pink splt-knee loons and a pale pink corduroy jacket. Shame on me but I was 14 at the time. Got backstage pass via my uncle. It was JPJ who looked after the four of us (one cousin and two schoolfriends from Accrington Grammar). JP...
