Re: The Audio Standard Forum.

Spotify isn't that bad but.... I seem to remember Linn / Naim owners with few records writing into magazines. But this was just a sort of humorous comparison with the streaming fans. However Spotify isn't what I would regard as premium sound and considering the chief streaming enthusiast on TAS and ...

Re: The Audio Standard Forum.

Isn't it time this was renamed the SPOTIFY FORUM ? It appears more members are being brainwashed into ditching vinyl and CD listening for streaming. I'm wondering if the enthusiasm for DAC tweaks , mains cables and fuses at daft prices is linked to perceived minor improvements to a sub par digital s...

Re: The New Wigwam

They are a waste of space as far as trying to have a sensible discussion on that forum. I don't think it's just to display their delusion of superior knowledge. Anything NVA or RD related they are determined to crap on. It's a childish game. Forums should be a place to gain knowledge not be fed a pi...

Re: Record cleaning and WD40 enhancement

WD 40 contains silicone which likely forms an (immovable) deposit. I'm certainly not comfortable with this and can see long term issues of migration. Perhaps the fact Ken wet plays all his records says it all. I can see damage to cartridges and Silicon impregnating inner sleeves. There are so many a...

Re: NVA Brexit prep

It's no longer a trading block but a political project. Is it that important? Take Germany and UK out and it doesn't amount to so much. We don't have that much say as we generally disagree with the other 27 and get outvoted. If Cameron hadn't been patted on the head and told to go away when he asked...

Re: NVA Brexit prep

If there is no trade agreement I don't think the distributor situation will arise. Brexit will not get through Parliament and there will either be a second referendum or a general election. People are kidding themselves if rejecting an agreement means anything other than no deal. Govt will not vote...

Re: NVA Brexit prep

Can the EU stop you listing on various national Ebay sites? Franky I can't wait to be rid of them. If I had voted remain I would be an avid Brexit enthusiast by now. It's clear they are trying to humiliate the UK. EU is an arrogant unelected dictatorship. Of course if the vote is overturned that is ...

Unlikely a router. Make sure you position it away from the hi-fi (close to telephone inlet). My money is on the Sky box.

Re: Did Hawkwind create SPACEROCK?

Isn't Space Rock a style not music about space or space as a title?

I would suggest this as an early example or precursor (though they didn't fly into space).
