Re: The Audio Standard Forum.

Until I got involved in hi-fi forums I never realised what a sad and nasty bunch many so called enthusiasts are. Re: Bands which totally changed members in a matter of few years

Depends how many members change. If they die you have to replace them. Changing lead vocalist or guitarist is a difficult one. Sometimes it has worked which doesn't mean some original fans won't accept it. There has to be more than one original member for me probably with exception of KC or other ba...

Re: Best double live lp set

Cowboy Junkies - The Trinity Sessions Single disc - unless you count the rare Classic Records 45 rpm or are thinking off the remake 'Trinity Revisited'. The LP I have is a double. I forgot about the AP version which is what you may have. Skipped it because I was expecting it to be 45 rpm not 33 rpm...

I think that sounds good and still makes the point.
+1. Best let the product do the talking without alienating some potential customers and other exhibitors.

Re: Eurovision song contest......!!!

Because everyone has HD big televisions it has to be a spectacle. It's become more about the visual than the music. Allowing special effects and using backing tracks has killed it. You used to have an orchestra and each country had a musical arranger/conductor that was clearly visible. It's ironic t...

Re: Eurovision song contest......!!!

They've banned China from showing the final because they censored the Irish LGBT act. Did they think China would lift repression and join the PC brigade? Good place to take a holiday if you want to avoid it.

Re: Utterlessly Pointless discussion about Prog

As I said before thank god for punk. It took music out of the hands of middle and upper class public school educated noodlers and gave it back to the working class and true innovation began again. It also circumvented the need to learn to play an instrument properly and do 1000 gigs to achieve the ...
