The problem is the fancy casework is costly so you are not just paying for performance. Also I believe they use switch mode power supplies which is a big turn off for me. When I have heard them at shows have been underwhelmed by the sound for the price tag.

You might do better with pictures. This is a great amp. I have it's successor MF M6500i ,which is supposed to be an improvement according to Audiogon members, though all solid state. Still very smooth and valve like. I honestly wouldn't expect NVA to be a significant improvement.
