Looks lovely! Good luck!

Re: Eurovision song contest......!!!
It didn't seem compressed to me and I don't have a great tolerance of compressed music. I was expecting to need earplugs to prevent damaging my already sensitive hearing but in fact it was very dynamic without the ear hurting part. The bass was probably a little excessive (a good thing!) but when we...

Re: Eurovision song contest......!!!
We went to the 2nd semi final rehearsal on Thursday (first ever Eurovision for us!) and I must say we were well impressed by the whole thing. So much better seeing the acts in person than on TV, the sub-bass, lighting and pyrotechnics! They had a pretty good sound system it has to be said! Voyager w...

Re: What Router do you use?
I've used a home built pfSense router for the last few years. It has been totally free from problems and has more facilities than anyone can possibly want I'd think! https://www.pfsense.org/download/ You can get their hardware or just buy a small MiniITX or similar fanless PC from Ali Express and lo...

Re: Pretty pissed about this really....
I feel for your situation, it's similar to what I went through 10 year ago when we moved house. In the previous house I'd got the sound just how I liked but in the new place it just didn't work, anywhere on the ground floor. I put this down to the void under the suspended floors that is sloping away...

Re: Modding a Logitech Transporter
A quick update. I have now tried another permutation for the DAC board itself. After more research I found some advice on I2S attenuation and DEM reclocking so I decided to implement these as a comparison with the simpler arrangement. Also the "orange drop" capacitors for decoupling since ...

Re: Modding a Logitech Transporter
I will second the nice work, but I could not help wondering why not the dac chip as well. It's a nice sounding DAC chip actually but now you mention it...hmmmm. :epopc: I do have another double crown 1541 chip spare... OK, you really started something... Never one to shirk a challenge...

Re: Headset advice
I've been working from home since long before it became mandatory and my company supplied me with Jabra 40 USB (wired) stereo headset for Teams/Skype etc. It's a mid range one and is comfortable to wear for long period and the sound quality is good. Cables still good, as are earmuffs even after a go...

Re: Modding a Logitech Transporter
On a practical note though, the main issue with using the TDA1541A chip in there is the limited space. There's room for a pcb to house it and the power supplies and the I/V but it's the transformer that is the issue. I'd need 5 secondaries, 4 x 8v and a 15v. To do this in the space would need a cust...
