Re: Speakers

I've heard a pair of Klipsch in the Magnolia section at Best Buy but sadly I haven't had the opportunity to hear any NVA here in the USA. If I lived in the USA, and had your speakers, I'd buy these today: https://www.ebay.com/itm/UREI-809-Mirror-Image-Pair/192792273505?hash=item2ce350a261:g:n~EAAOS...

Re: Why Bother.

I haven't looked at AoS for ... weeks? .. months?

I don't find it interesting or funny. But I can understand why other people do.

Re: Speakers

The thing with Klipsch, Altec, JBL, EV, Urei speakers is that it all depends what you can buy them for and what model you're actually getting. Quad Electrostatics are fine - as modern Brit Chinese speakers. I agree that the vast majority of British speakers are wank, with the more expensive ones ten...

Re: just under 30 seconds

I just spent no more than 30 seconds cursorily looking over the thread titles at Audio Asylum's "rock" section. And I can with surety now declare that AA clots are everymuch as defective (musical-knowledge-ingly) as you lot. Total kindergarden. This makes Blind Child happy. I take it as a complimen...

I think I'll scoop up some of this glass from a road accident in Norfolk and eBay it off as part of Prince Philip's Land Rover.

The Bropera (Brexit Soap Opera) continues...

Something of substance might happen in the next 3 months...

Parkinson's Law applies, with the time taken to sort Brexit out filling up the time available to do it.

Re: I am speechless

I think the right term is "fuck me sideways" https://telos-audio.com.tw/sticker/?fbclid=IwAR2GSfBN-PrA4z0zMMBDzoFGPNNTYGF6sctX0aSFY2i105D1KIaPGEd2zhQ Those Quantum stickers look like pieces for a boardgame. Nuclear fall-out markers or something. How much do they cost? I couldn't see a price on the ...

Woodstock.

BTW, only just found out that 2 people out of half a million died at Woodstock. One from a drug OD, the other from falling asleep under a tractor and the driver not realising he was there.

That Sorceror film sucks and the Tangerine Dream soundtrack - I believe their first - is boring as all heaven.
Roy Scheider joy rider. What's not to like?

Apart from the film title, as the film had nothing to do with Dungeons & Dragons.

Re: Yer fav B&W films

Most, if not all the Ealing Comedies are highly wtchable. The Lavender Hill Mob - as already mentioned by Latteman is a good one. I'm All Righ Jack reminds me of my time working at a manufacturing company. Maybe a lot of people working there used it as their role model? The Man in the White Suit als...
