Went A40. Mk2 A70 then Mk2 A80.
Still with the A80's. My feeling is always accurate but more effortless as you go up the range.

I'm quite a fan of dealing direct if I can do. There are pro's and con's but I usually find there to be a net benefit. Most here will be NVA users already. Would be 7m from TT to phono 1.
Whichever way i do it will be a compromise.
Best bet buy a new house and have a dedicated (wife proof) room.

Apologies, wasn't very clear. Its cartridge driven going to a nva phono 1 then A80's.
Seems to be a non starter as there is several issues to overcome.
Thanks for the advice. Silver lining is if im relegated to downstairs i have a bit more freedom on what speakers I purchase.

Cartridge is Ortofon 2M Red and if i remember rightly moving magnet type.
