If only so much empty space would serve to keep the transformer distant from the signal circuits ...

Re: Polarity / Ground
I had a look. I think we are again at the usual controversy. Recently, I have not followed much the forum, but from what little I've read on AoS, it seems to me that the girl is rather resentful, but all in all still comment favorably the NVA. The other hand, there are the usual comments by audio eng...

Re: Polarity / Ground
Clearly the guy was inspired by RD, even though I did not understand if the circuit is the same. Probably not. Of course it seems to take an effort to make it more Teutonic, all so rigidly orthogonal. Our RD products are surely more imaginative

Re: Looking for A40Mk2 + P50 second hand
OK, nothing urgent. Just thinking about an upgrade of the 2nd system in my partner's home. At present I have a small AP20 (mk1, all acrylic) which drives the Royd Doublet. I think that I could bi-amp them by sending the AP20 to the tweeters and an AP70/AP60 to the woofers. Clearly I will have to spl...

I haven't noted them before. Are them on the bay? What version is the A70: mk1 mk2 or even earlier?Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote:I have a traded in A60 and A70s but not A40's.

Re: Connecting P50sa - problems...
Probably during shipping (especially if it passed through London airports  ) one of the internal wires has been unsoldered, simply because of some bump, and the loose end went to make contact at some wrong point of the selector. Nothing could be simpler than opening the lid, find the loose wire...

Re: Connecting P50sa - problems...
Sometimes it happens that the some internal cables are connected incorrectly. It's nothing serious. With a soldering iron is very easy to fix it. If I were you, instead of wasting time taking pictures and writing on the forum I would have opened the box and I have already fixed. :geek: Clearly, at y...

Re: Pioneer PL71 for sale on AoS
My PL-71 also has the same mat of the last photo without the inner ring. Thus, this seems to be a quite usual situation.Gromit wrote:... Yup - I'm 99% sure this 71 didn't have an inner ring, Jerry. ...
