Streaming YouTube used to be possible with Raspberry Pi and Volumio but since Youtube introduced 'premium' this doesn't work. No. Much too complicated. Google Chromecast plus a bit of software may do the trick. You don't say what your streaming source is.

Yes. Check out Rickie Lee Jones' version of Low Spark of High Heeled Boys. And Dave Masons work which includes a different working of the same song. Wasn't it Dave Mason playing accoustic guitar on Hendrix' All Along the Watchtower?

The error was a certificate date error (i.e. the certificate had passed it's end date). I'd have expected this to refresh automatically. The host obviously want to sell us their cert.

We are using Let'sEncrypt which has been fine so far. I've forced a certificate refresh and you should find it is fine now (although you may need to clear your browser cache).

Yes. These are the elements. Buying on CD and ripping it often cheaper than digital download (HD Audio notwithstanding).
